Drink Recipe: Makan's Boozy Seoul Slinger

Hot weather and tiki drinks have long shared a blissful relationship. It’s something we’re reminded of every time we succumb to Makan’s all too-tasty Seoul Slinger cocktail. Served up in a ceramic tiki cup, the tropical concoction transports us from the sizzling Atlanta summer to a breezy beach miles and miles away.

Our suggestion? Hit up this downtown Decatur restaurant and order a round of these isle-inspired drinks at the cool, spacious bar. If you’re hungry, chow on the Korean spicy ramen, the spicy wontons in chili oil and the watermelon salad—hit the restaurant on Sundays for a dim sum brunch. Just make sure you’ve got a designated driver (or your Uber app) at the ready when it’s time to leave. These Seoul Slingers pack a boozy punch!

Makan’s Seoul Slinger

1 ounce light (silver) rum
1 ounce spiced rum
1/4 ounce maraschino liquor
¾ ounce orgeat syrup
¾ ounce cucumber juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
2 dashes orange bitters

Mix all ingredients together and shake with ice. Pour all contents in a large tiki mug, top with fresh ice. Garnish with fresh fruit slices like cherry, orange and pineapple as well as cucumbers. Enjoy.
