Woody's Famous Philadelphia Cheesesteaks

24 August 2017

Woody’s reputation precedes itself- the Monroe Drive joint has been an Atlanta staple since 1975. The old-school billboard out front says it all, “Woody’s Famous Philadelphia Cheesesteaks…Subs, Sausage, Hot Dogs, Ice Cream, Coca Cola!” The exclamation mark isn’t on the sign, but it’s on the brain of every passerby. The cheesesteak we chose to feature is the “loaded version” with a New Jersey shipped baguette loaded with steak, cheese, bacon, onions and peppers. There’s even a veggie cheesesteak for those on a meat boycott. People also drive near and far for their signature milkshakes.

A few years ago, Woody’s took on new ownership and a couple of new menu offerings. King of Pops is now sold on site as well as Creature Comforts beer on draft! The restaurant will also be participating in Taste of Atlanta 2017, we can’t wait to have them on site Saturday and Sunday. Put Woody’s on your restaurant radar before the festival, then buy your ticket to Taste of Atlanta to have a sample at the event. Use code “Woodys” for $5 off- click for more details and tickets!
