The Taste of Atlanta team was able to check out Joella’s Hot Chicken this past week before their opening in Cumberland (minutes away from Suntrust Park!) on Friday, September 6! Joella’s Hot Chicken is originally based in Louisville, KY and is set to open their first of four locations in metro-Atlanta this fall. They are known for their acclaimed hot chicken and delicious made-from-scratch sides. The new restaurant will also feature a drive thru and spacious, covered patio where guests can enjoy menu items such as Jumbo Tenders in a variety of unique heat levels, creamy mac and cheese, specialty dippin’ sauces, parmesan garlic fries and much more.
To kick off their opening day, Joella’s will give away nearly $50,000 in free chicken meals to the first 100 in line on Friday, September 6. A one-year supply (52 coupons) will be awarded to each of the first 100 adults, 18 years and older with identification, at 8 a.m. Guests are invited to form a line up to 24 hours prior to the restaurant’s opening. The fun will officially begin at 4:30 a.m. with live music from Sapid Music, followed by coffee provided by local coffeehouse Rev Coffee Roasters, as well as games, complimentary chicken and waffles and Joella’s swag.
Following the Grand Opening, Joella’s will feature daily specials, including:

– Friday, Sept. 13 – Custom Joella’s Louisville Slugger Giveaway
